A sweet lil life update for ya, but first…
It’s hard to believe its been almost 2 years since I have set up my booth and vended at an event. For 6 years, that was how I made a living, and I am not just talking about money… its how I met all the beautiful people in my life that have become lifelong friends, making my living so much more GRAND ;)
This weekend I’ll be swan diving back into that river and I could not be more excited about the event and all the wonderful people it will attract out from the backwoods of the Ozarks into one beautiful public space. I’ll be setting up a booth at the Tulip Festival @ Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company… the most magical seed shop/property of all time. I’ll have to take some footage while I’m there to share with you. I’ll let ya know how it goes!
As the season grows richer and greener, the longer my list of things to accomplish gets… Adding row crops, flipping compost, adding soil to all our beds, making more fencing, planting more fruit trees, building hoop houses, mobile coops, swarm traps for to catch swarming wild bees, transplanting all my seedlings, raising the sweetest piggies ever, rotating my pigs, seeding pastures, adding more flower beds…. the list goes on n on! BUT it is the most satisfying, labor of love I’ve ever been able to experience. AND, even though the list gets longer everyday, we still prioritize making space to enjoy the fruits of this season. Here in the Ozarks, it is Morel mushroom season, foraging wild edibles season, fishing season, rainbow season, old friend coming to visit season, and of course wildflower frolic season. Though I intended to make at least 1 collection every month throughout this year, I just don’t have the confidence it’ll stick due to Aprils wild abundance….sue me ;)
Here’s a few photos I’ve snapped since the equinox.
